Wheels 2006 Range Rover

2006 Range Rover

If someone asked you to name the most complete, the most superbly refined luxury sport utility vehicle in the world, the chances are that without even a moment’s thought you would say, ‘The Range Rover.’ The latest series of Range Rovers on the block is a vast improvement on the old models and are currently available in two specifications – The Range Rover HSE and the Range Rover Supercharged. The key difference between the two models lies in the configuration of the engine. Whereas the Range Rover HSE supports a naturally aspirated 4.4L 305-hp V8 engine, the Range Rover Supercharged comes with an engine that is Supercharged 4.2L 400-hp V8.

Both the models offer the power enhancing, new six-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift™. There is an onboard rearview camera and a premium touch screen navigation system with GPS satellite technology and nine-language voice recognition. Typifying their reputation as all terrain vehicles, the Range Rover and Range Rover Supercharged come outfitted with powerful Bi-Xenon headlights that cast a wider beam of light for superior nighttime visibility. An ingenious Adaptive Front-lighting System automatically moves the headlights—left, right, up or down—in reaction to speed, pitch and steering angle.

You don’t have to worry about low pressure or flat tires anymore once you become a proud owner of a Range Rover. The continuously operating Tire Pressure Monitoring System keeps check on individual tire pressure and issues a warning when the pressure in a tire falls 25% below the specified limit. To allow maximum air intake for engine cooling there is a one-piece diamond mesh grille and also the distinctive side power vents. The wider and thicker bumper design creates a rather commanding presence for the vehicle, and also offers safety against accidental bumps. Included in the vehicle are the standard features like 8-airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) and three-zone automatic climate control with CFC-free air conditioning.

The Range Rover’s off road capabilities get enhanced by incorporation of technologies such as the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Anti-lock Brake System, 4-wheel Electronic Traction Control, and Hill Descent Control (HDC) system. Passenger and driver safety is ensured through a range of passive safety features, including a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), ABS brakes with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Your entertainment needs are taken care off by the presence of a versatile rear-seat entertainment system with DVD player and a 710-Watt, 14-speaker harman/kardon LOGIC 7 audio system.
