Interview with- Lisa
Patel
RM - What modeling gigs have you
done in the past?
LP - I have worked with mostly independent agents. I have done several
runway shows for Miss Teen USA, Miss India USA, beauty trade shows, charity shows,
and have worked with a few local fashion designers.
RM - Why did you decide to enter the
entertainment industry?
LP - Because I absolutely enjoy it!
RM - Do you have any dreams of entering
the Bollywood industry?
LP - Yes, ever since I was a little girl I
imagined myself being in Bollywood films. I
started watching Hindi movies at a very young
age and from there on, I have had this dream,
of becoming a Bollywood star.
RM - When were you inspired to become a
model? Was your family supportive?
LP - I have been approached many times by modeling agents, strangers, and even
friends. Then I finally thought if all these people believe in me, I
should definitely pursue this. There's really nothing to lose. My
parents are very supportive; they have always believed in me.
RM - What are you currently doing?
LP - I currently work a 9-5 job. I have only just
recently started pursuing modeling and am still
building my portfolio and contact system.
RM - Who do you look up to?
LP - My parents; they've had such hard times, but
through it all, they never let my brother or I
suffer. They gave us everything they could. Their
strength is incredible. I hope to have that
same strength when pursuing my dreams in the entertainment
industry.
RM - What do you like to do in your spare
time?
LP - Read, watch movies, shop, nap, write, learn,
and sing.
RM - When did you realize that guys first
started noticing you or hitting on you?
LP - Haha, I would say in high school. At
that age, I think guys hit on every girl in class!
RM - Are you in a relationship? What do
you look for in a partner?
LP - I look for a great sense of humor, honesty,
loyalty, someone who brings out the best in me, someone
that understands me, along with great looks and love
for Hindi films of course!
RM - Tell us something that our readers
would be surprised to know?
LP - I sat in a limo with Salman Khan on his tour
of Chicago, IL! |
