Did u Like it

Size does matter! And it is not just the length or thickness, the texture counts as well. Did you know that the thickness, length and texture of hair are decisive factors when it comes to the mating rituals of the king of the jungle? A lion stands a better chance of laying his paws (literally) on the best of the lioness herd if he has a mane worth showing! Now I am not suggesting that bushy eyebrows, hairy nostrils (no one likes those) and wearing your shirt open all the way down exposing your hairy chest will make women swoon. No way pal! The laws of the jungle do not apply to you and me. The hairy display may have worked for the lions and for the likes of the Neanderthal man, but everyone was hairy in the Neanderthal era, even women. Take a look around and you will find young men going in for a cleaner and closer shave. Grooming is just as important for men as it is for women, and this is evident from the fact that a number of salons catering to men are offering services ranging from a simple haircut to facials, manicures, hair removal, and more. Salman Khan may have heralded the ever increasingly popular bare chest, but there are men who are experimenting with hair removal in places which may make your jaw drop. Legs, arms, back, and the genital area are all fair game to get a completely bare look. Alarming or not, the cleaner, lighter look is gaining popularity. So if you want to step up and lose some of that excess body hair, read on.

Salman Khan may have heralded the ever increasingly popular bare chest, but there are men who are experimenting with hair removal in places which may make your jaw drop.
Trimmer
Probably the easiest way to a cleaner look is trimming. And does it help to know that trimming is painless. Using either an electric or nonelectric trimmer you can take off hair in most places.
WAXING
Waxing has been around for a long time. You have probably heard your girlfriend and wife lamenting about it at some point. It involves applying liquid wax (hot or cold) over a hairy patch, then spreading a piece of cloth over it, nice and even. The piece of cloth is ripped off in the opposite direction of the hair growth, which pulls the hair from its roots. Applying moisturizers soothes the skin and gives it that glow. Although the metrosexual man is no stranger to waxing, and women get waxing done all the time too, the one common consensus is waxing is great if you enjoy pain. You can get your legs, under-arms, chest, neck, eyebrows, knuckles and your genital area waxed. What’s that...did I hear you cringe? Well what can I say; you can’t have pleasure without pain. However waxing needs to be repeated over a period of time, as it does not result in permanent hair loss. If you have a sensitive skin then applying ice after waxing will prevent the skin from breaking out into blisters and boils. If the pain factor is too much, then you can try the next option.

LASER TREATMENT
Advertisements for laser hair removal can be found in almost all the leading newspapers and magazines. It is a gentle and effective way to remove unwanted hair using laser energy. However it needs to be noted that laser hair removal is not for everyone. Typically darker objects or surfaces absorb light. Laser technology uses the same principal. It targets dark hair, which is why people with dark skin or tans are not advised to go in for this treatment. It may cause further pigmentation or damage to the skin. The perfect candidate is one with naturally light skin and dark hair. Another important consideration is the cost factor. While it can work out cheaper than electrolysis; the success of this treatment requires multiple sessions. Except the areas around the eyes this treatment can be used to remove hair from all parts of your body. Having said this, whenever you decide to go in for laser treatment, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist prior to the treatment. The best part about this treatment is that it is a lot less painful than waxing and in most cases results in permanent hair removal.

ELECTROLYSIS
All right, let’s begin with the best part first, electrolysis involves very little to no pain. At best it can be described as a tingling over your skin. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and AMA (American Medical Association) recognize electrolysis as the only permanent method of removing hair. Except for a slight reddening of the treated area it has no permanent side effects. Electrolysis uses a probe with a short wave radio frequency to destroy the hair growth centre or the hair follicle. The treated hair is then removed easily using forceps. Again, always make sure that the person you are going to go to is a trusted professional. The duration of this treatment is relatively longer and may take up to a year. It is quite expensive too.

TWEEZING
Using a pair of tweezers, you can pluck out hair from its roots. However, this can be a time consuming process and is best left to areas like your eyebrows, nostrils and ears. Seriously, can you imagine using this on your chest or for that matter, anywhere else? How does it feel? Simple, try pulling out a single strand of hair. The pain factor is average with this one. Again it does not have any permanent results. So if it’s the weekend and you are not going anywhere in a hurry, pick up a pair of trusty tweezers and pluck away.

TRIMMING
Probably the easiest way to a cleaner look is trimming. And does it help to know that trimming is painless. Using either an electric or non-electric trimmer you can take off hair in most places. Easily available and easy to use, this is a must have for every guy. Invest in any one type and you can keep your unruly hair trimmed and in control. However you may have to use a trimmer every 3-4 days at the most. Of course hair growth rate is different for every person. Nevertheless, it still comes recommended especially if you are interested in targeting sensitive areas.
